Aims
The aim of this module is to facilitate your personal development as a lifelong learner and responsible management practitioner. The module develops your critical awareness of: (1) how your attitudes to learning inform your values and behaviours; (2) how your values and behaviours might impact others; and (3) the dynamic interplay between individual, team and organisational values and behaviours.
Outline Of Syllabus
The module will cover the following topics related to TWO key themes:
Managing Self: how personal attitudes to learning impact personal and professional development; becoming a reflective and reflexive learner; becoming a lifelong learner; how attitudes to sustainability influence future career and employment choices.
Managing Others; the dynamic interplay between organisational, team and individual values and behaviours; responsible interactions with others; the role of managers in the achievement of the sustainability development goals

Formative Assessments
Formative Assessment is an assessment which develops your skills in being assessed, allows for you to receive feedback, and prepares you for being assessed. However, it does not count to your final mark.

Assessment Rationale And Relationship
Formative Assessment
Formative assessment will take place within the workshop sessions. You will be given opportunities to engage in skills development activities to enhance your reflective practice and professional development planning skills.
Summative Assessment
You will be required to complete an individual 3000 word reflective log and professional development plan.
Feedback Strategy
Formative: Peer and tutor formative feedback will be given as part of the workshop activities. This will be supported by the drop-in surgeries.
Summative: Summary feedback will be given in accordance with the assessment marking criteria.
Summative Re-sit Assessment: Revise and resubmit original assessment taking into consideration marker feedback.
