Aims

The aim of this module is to develop students' ability to translate, understand and critically analyse and appreciate a range of Latin texts, both seen and unseen and both prose and verse and of a linguistic and intellectual level appropriate with Level 3. You will prepare the translation of a Latin prose text (Semester 1) and of a verse text (Semester 2), both at a higher level than in CLA2001.

Semester 1: Prose text to be arranged in consultation with students.

Semester 2: verse text to be arranged in consultation with students.
