Teaching Rationale And Relationship
Lectures will provide students with knowledge and understanding of key concepts and principles, and also raise overarching themes, and different perspectives. Through seminars and independent study (preparing for seminars, preparing for assessments and writing the coursework essay), students can increase their knowledge and understanding of the subject, and develop subject-specific and cognitive skills. The two hour seminars will use a variety of teaching methods to develop students’ knowledge and skills development which will be assessed by coursework and a group work task creating a podcast. There workshops and drop in surgeries are specifically designed to support students’ skills development for each assessment, that is, research and writing, and what makes a good podcast.
