Aims
To build on academic and professional skills learned in Stage 1. Particularly to prepare students for their research projects in terms of experimental design, statistical analysis and presentation and project planning.
Outline Of Syllabus
Quantitative research: sampling and experimental design
Summary statistics, comparing categorical data, T tests ANOVA, Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, Chisquared
Links between continuous data: univariate regression, correlation, interaction
Multivariate regression
Project planning and management

Teaching Rationale And Relationship
Teaching will be via NSO online material, lectures and practicals, with online and computer practical drop-ins. for stats.
Dissertation MLs will work with students on project proposals, and I will support this further with a seminar and SO drop in.

Formative Assessments
Formative Assessment is an assessment which develops your skills in being assessed, allows for you to receive feedback, and prepares you for being assessed. However, it does not count to your final mark.
