Aims
Students will be introduced to research methods and will study a particular topic with the aim of preparing a technical report in the appropriate scientific format.
Outline Of Syllabus
Taught theory and analytical methods are combined with 'capability' skills in problem solving and practical work.

Assessment Rationale And Relationship
Students' presentation, writing and mathematical skills are assessed through a project report including an introduction, method, discussion, conclusion and references. Word count not to exceed 2000.
