Aims
To introduce students to the different kinds of therapies and interventions offered in the profession of clinical psychology as well as EDI issues within clinical psychology. It will provide an understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of a range of therapies. It will inform students of which mental health disorders the therapies are typically utilised for and in which clinical settings. It will provide an introduction into the theoretical frameworks, assessments and treatment interventions used within the therapies. It will inform students of the NHS settings clinical psychologists and psychological therapists work in, as well as a basic understanding of the different psychological professions across the clinical settings. It will equip students with knowledge of how to pursue particular career paths within the field.

Teaching Rationale And Relationship
The lecture materials are used as the most effective mode of imparting the core knowledge of the module. Small group teaching sessions provide students with the opportunity to acquire more in-depth knowledge, improve understanding, and prepare them for the exam. During the workshop session, students will receive a full explanation of the assessment, along with interactive exercises to prepare them for the assessment. Private study is essential for in-depth review of knowledge imparted through lecture materials.
Interactive elements of the teaching will help students to critically reflect on appropriateness of clinical interventions.

Assessment Rationale And Relationship
The presentation gives students the opportunity to present and reflect on a clinical vignette which will assess knowledge of clinical interventions and different clinical settings. The students will be required to reflect on and make reference to specific aspects of module content demonstrating a broad and deep engagement with the material.
If the module is failed students will resit failed assessments in the same format during the August resit period.
