Sarah holds a Master's degree in Landscape Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Manchester. Since joining the University, she has worked as a Research Project Coordinator on a range of projects. She first supported the VISION-DMD clinical trial, which was part-funded by Horizon 2020, at the John Walton Centre for Muscular Dystrophy. She later worked on several projects with the Electrical Power Research Group in the School of Engineering.
Prior to joining the University, Sarah gained experience of European programmes and policy in both environmental consultancy and the Civil Service. In environmental consultancy, she worked on landscape planning projects for clients including Natural England and National Park Authorities. This included work informed by the principles of the European Landscape Convention. She also worked as a European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme Support Officer at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), supporting the delivery of ERDF programmes.
