It’s the perfect setting to prepare for success in an increasingly globalised world.

What surprised me about Newcastle is how welcoming and vibrant the University and city are. I didn’t expect such a strong sense of community and support from both students and staff.

The University fosters not just academic excellence, but a well-rounded student experience. At the start of my course, the department organised a yoga session and team-building activities at Tynemouth Beach. It helped us see the importance of maintaining mental and physical health while working in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

Starting my own student society

The social aspect of university has been amazing. The diverse and inclusive environment has made it easy to connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds, leading to some great friendships.

For fun, I enjoy exploring the city’s vibrant cultural scene, attending events, and trying out local food spots.

I recently started an Indian performing arts society, which has been an exciting way to combine my interests with building a community. Organising the club’s activities has not only been fun but has also helped me develop leadership and teamwork skills.

In the future, I see myself in a strategic leadership role within the marketing or business development space. I would like to be in a role where I’m leading international teams, making data-driven decisions, and creating value through creativity and collaboration.
