Gone through Clearing? Here’s what happens next.
Apply for accommodation
We want you to have a great experience living with us and that starts from the moment you apply for your accommodation. However, please note:
- if you're applying through Clearing, please be aware that our university accommodation will have limited availability
- we can't guarantee a room, but we're confident we'll still have some options for you
- alternative rooms might not be in your preferred location. However, all our undergraduate accommodation is conveniently located a short distance from both campus and the city centre
- in the event our rooms become full, we'll connect you with trusted private student accommodation providers in the city. We'll also provide support and advice to help you find suitable alternative housing.
You can apply for accommodation starting Monday 18 August at 10am. We use an instant booking system, so rooms can be reserved right away. To manage website traffic, a queuing system will be in place. If you log in before 10am, you'll be placed in a queue and assigned a random slot when booking opens.
You'll see real-time availability on the accommodation portal. If your preferred residence or room type isn't showing, it means it's already been booked.
To speak to one of our advisers, call our accommodation hotline on 0191 222 5102 or message via the live chat.
Lines are open:
- Thursday 14 August: 10:00 - 15:00
- Friday 15 August: 10:00 – 14:00
- Monday 18 August: 10:00 – 15:00
- Tuesday 19 – Friday 29 August: 10:00 – 14:00
(excluding Monday 25 August)
