Goyal Foundation Scholarship 2023-24

About these scholarships

These scholarships are provided by Avnish Goyal, CBE (Accounting and Finance, 1988) and Anita Goyal, MBE through the Goyal Foundation.

The Goyal Foundation Scholarship programme aims to provide financial support to help students flourish during their time at Newcastle University.

Number of awards

 10

Scholarship amount

 £1,000 for stage 1, £2,000 for stages 2 and 3, and £1,000 on completing degree programme. 

Notice of award

You will be informed by the Student Financial Support Team in April 2024 if you were successful in receiving the scholarship.   

 

Eligibility criteria

The scholarships are available to any undergraduate stage 1 students receiving the Opportunity Scholarship in 2023-24.

The deadline for 2023-24 has now passed. 

 

Conditions of scholarship

The scholarship is available for three years of study only (regardless of length of course).

Successful candidates must be in receipt of the Opportunity Scholarship at the time of awarding.

All scholarship recipients are asked to provide an introductory profile when they first receive the award, and an annual update report to inform their donor of their progress. You will be contacted to provide these reports with plenty of notice.  Recipients are required to be available to meet the donors and participate in promotion of student support activity at Newcastle University if requested.
