  • £8,000 per academic year for postgraduate study
  • £10,000 per academic year for applicants domiciled in India, Nigeria and Pakistan applying for postgraduate study

Start date and duration

September 2027 for the duration of your course.

Application closing date

Awards will be allocated throughout the academic year before the start of the student’s degree.

Newcastle University is pleased to offer partial NU ISC Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships to assist international students progressing from Newcastle University International Study to study a postgraduate degree at the University.

Eligibility criteria

To be considered for scholarships applicants must:

  • be domiciled in of one of the following countries/regions: Algeria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey*, UAE, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam or Zimbabwe
  • have been offered a place to study on an eligible postgraduate degree course at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2027/28 academic year
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes

*NB Applicants domiciled in Turkey can only be considered if they are self-funding their studies.

Eligible candidates will be assessed as part of their academic application.
