94% of our 2020/21 graduates entered employment or further study within 15 months of graduating. Our focus on employability skills, excellent Careers Service, alumni impact and strong employer connections has been recognised with the award of 5 QS Stars for employability (2025).
Careers support
Our Careers Service offers a wide range of support to our students:

- unique online resources
- opportunities to meet and network with potential employers
- a huge range of skills development workshops
Our support helps students develop employability skills, gain real-world work experience and prepare for their future careers. The Careers Service provide workshops tailored to specific degrees to maximise the chances of our students landing the dream job.
Graduates of Newcastle benefit from careers support for three years after graduation as well as business start-up support on an on-going basis.
Work placement has given me the chance to experience how things operate in real life in addition to the theoretical knowledge I gained from the university. It has also lead to me receiving a job offer from Procter & Gamble as soon as I graduate.
