This degree prepares you to thrive in a global business world. You'll learn to shape strategy, drive growth and succeed across international organisations, banking and global markets.

The three-year programme combines international business management and finance. It will give you the knowledge and skills to succeed in today’s fast‑moving global economy.

You will graduate ready to embark on a career with multinational and global organisations that operate across borders.

During the programme, you will explore how international organisations:

  • manage people and operations
  • compete across markets through marketing, logistics, and global strategy

You will also:

  • build a strong understanding of financial markets and institutions

The information below is intended to provide an example of what you will study.

Most degrees are divided into stages. Each stage lasts for one academic year, and you'll complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each stage. 

Full details of the modules on offer will be published through the Programme Regulations and Specifications ahead of each academic year. This usually happens in May.

Our teaching is informed by research. Course content may change periodically to reflect developments in the discipline, the requirements of external bodies and partners, and student feedback.

You'll develop a good understanding of core areas of business, including:

  • the academic and professional foundations of international business management
  • the key concepts of accounting and finance
  • an overview of the international business environment
  • the concepts and principles of business management and organisation

You'll also study main economic theories and applications, as well as get familiar with the principles of business law.

  • a Management Research Briefing for Sustainable Organisational Futures

You'll also take a deeper dive into the world of finance. You will explore financial markets, institutions, risks, and psychological factors shaping financial decisions.

We have two buildings – the Business School and the Frederick Douglass Centre (FDC). Both offer a range of purpose-build facilities, including.
