International Marketing MSC
A mix of theory and practice
This master’s degree in international marketing focuses on real business challenges across different industries. We’ve explored global marketing strategies, consumer behaviour, digital marketing, and I’ve improved my research skills. I enjoy the interactive lectures, group projects, and networking events that all show how the theory applies outside the classroom.
The strong industry links and focus on practical experience have really stood out too. We studied the latest trends and case studies and heard from guest speakers discussing their work.
A welcoming campus and city
I love the welcoming atmosphere at Newcastle University. The supportive campus environment and active student societies were one of the reasons I chose to study here. I have been impressed by the range of activities available to students.
I joined the Marketing Society to network with like-minded students, learn from guest speakers, and take part in practical workshops. It’s rewarding to be part of a group that shares similar interests and goals.
One of my favourite memories is joining group projects and networking events that helped me make friends from different countries.
The social aspect of university has been great, with many opportunities to make friends and interact with people from different backgrounds. For fun, I go to the gym, participate in group outings, attend university events and explore the city.
The city itself is lively and safe. It’s so vibrant – there are many opportunities for cultural experiences and personal growth. And everyone is so friendly and helpful.
The city feels open and inclusive, and the public transport is efficient and easy to use.
Help when you need it
The support services at Newcastle are great. I’ve used the academic support centre for help with assignments and understanding course materials. The careers team helped me improve my CV and apply for jobs. Both services made me feel more confident and prepared for exams and interviews.
The scholarship I received has been a great help too. It reduced stress, helped cover living expenses, and enabled me to participate in more academic and extracurricular activities.
I’ve had hands-on experience through projects and internships. The career support and industry connections showed me various paths I can take and gave me the confidence to pursue leadership roles in marketing.
I’d recommend this degree to anyone considering it. It combines practical learning with strong academic foundations, covers the latest marketing trends, and offers opportunities to network with industry professionals. It is ideal for anyone looking to start a successful career in international marketing.
My top tips are to research your course thoroughly, highlight relevant skills and experiences in your application, and submit everything before the deadline. Preparing supporting documents in advance and reaching out to admissions if you have any questions also helps.
