Dr Elisa Lawson

Asst International Research Funding Mgr

I work in the 'EU Office', a team of four which is part of the University Research Office (URO) within Research and Enterprise Services. Our role is to help our research community secure the highest possible level of participation in European and International funding, including Horizon 2020 (the EU's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation), Erasmus+ (the new EU programme for Education, Training, Youth, and Sport),  related EU funding programmes and a wide range of international opportunities.

My role specifically includes identifying and supporting applications to international funding programmes, such as the Newton Fund, as well as supporting proposals with an international partner.

Further information on EU and international funding can be found on the Funding Toolkit at: and

or follow us on Twitter: @EUandIntNcl

I also act as the University's RENKEI coordinator. RENKEI is a British Council led network of UK and Japanese universities.

Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss any aspect of EU and International funding and we can arrange a meeting at your convenience.
