Role

I am a University-wide Research Funding Development Manager focusing on International development and global challenges research working within the EU and International section of the Research Funding Development Team. I am also co-Director of the Global Challenges Academy, one of the 4 NU Academies, which facilitates challenge-led and interdisciplinary research that benefits vulnerable people in low income country settings and addresses the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

I can provide advice and guidance on the Global Challenges Research Fund, Newton Fund, DfID, UNSDGs and Official Development Assistance as well as other opportunities for international collaboration in research.

I am a University Sustainability Champion and a Policy Academy Fellow.

I joined Newcastle University in 2014 with 10 years experience as a higher education manager, previously in International Relations at the University of Southampton as International Networks and Collaborations Manager, Worldwide Universities Network Development Manager and before that as Graduate School Project Manager in Law, Arts and Social Sciences.

I have completed the Leadership Foundation Aurora Programme for women leaders in higher education (2015) and was part of the inaugural cohort of the Newcastle University Policy Academy (2017).
