Background

Introduction

I specialise in international funding and work across the three Faculties to provide support and knowledge to the development of research applications. I support academic staff and international applicants with their research funding applications to Horizon Europe including Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and the European Research Council (ERC). I also support the British Academy and Council for At-Risk Academics (CARA) Researchers at Risk Fellowship programme.

The Research Funding Development Team provides:

• advice on funder strategy;
• information on funders' forthcoming plans and opportunities;
• support for large and complex funding applications;
• visits and information sessions from funders;
• 'in house' funding information sessions;
• advice on finding funding;
• advice on preparing funding applications;
• lay review of funding applications;
• grant training

Background

Formerly, I was Research Project Coordinator for a range of projects in the Electrical Power group within the School of Engineering. I was also Project Assistant based at the John Walton Muscular Dystrophy Research Centre and Project Officer for the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) based at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. 

Qualifications

I studied a Masters in Landscape Planning and Management at The University of Manchester.
