Background

EU and International Research Funding Team

I am a member of the EU and International Research Funding Team, which is part of the University Research Office (URO) within Research and Enterprise Services (RES).

Our role is to help our research community secure the highest possible level of participation in EU and International funding, including Horizon 2020 (the EU's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation), Erasmus+ (the new EU programme for Education, Training, Youth, and Sport),  related EU funding programmes and a wide range of International opportunities.

Background and Qualifications

Before joining Newcastle University I worked to develop strategic international partnerships at Durham University.  This included facilitating research and education activities within those partnerships and across international networks.  Outside of the Education sector, I have developed and delivered cross-sector projects relating to fuel poverty and worked in policy positions in a housing association and the North East Assembly.
