Global Partnerships

Global challenges need global collaboration. We are already working together with an array of exciting colleagues from around the world and are always looking to expand our international networks.

At Newcastle University we value equitable and mutually beneficial partnerships based on respect, transparency and integrity. When these relationships work well they can produce cutting-edge, impactful research and educational innovation that can change the world for the better. We have many hundreds of these kinds of partnerships working across sectors, disciplines and national borders.

Working together for sustainable development

We engage with an array of organisations in Tanzania on subjects ranging from non-communicable disease on the slopes of Kilimanjaro to education in informal settlements in Dar es Salam.

In Malaysia we're partnering to learn more about dementia and about water quality, while in Indonesia our collaborative relationships are providing evidence around sustainable fisheries and air pollution.

This is in addition to the many opportunities for our students to experience international environments, and for us to welcome international visitors to our campuses in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, London, Malaysia and Singapore.

Within the UK and beyond we're also working with a variety of exciting organisations looking at sustainable development and addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

If you'd like to work with us to help solve a global challenge affecting your community email:global.challenges@ncl.ac.uk.
