Overview

If you're already working within cyber security, data protection and IT you'll be suitable for this Cyber Security degree apprenticeship.‌

You'll use a combination of technical and soft skills throughout this Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship. Subject to COVID-19 restrictions, you'll also have extensive on-the-job training. You'll become an expert in your field so you can take your career to the next level.

This course meets the needs of the apprenticeships scheme. It is designed to the Cyber Security Technology Specialism of the Digital Technology Solutions Level 7 integrated degree standard.

All apprenticeships in the School of Computing have been created by the Institute of Coding (IoC). The IoC is a government-funded project to help close the digital skills gap. The MSc has also been created in consultation with industry. This ensures you develop the skills needed to succeed in today’s workplace.

What you'll learn

This Cyber Security degree apprenticeship will cover:

  • system security
  • the challenge of dependable systems
  • information security and trust
  • security analysis of complex systems
  • security tools and analysis
  • leadership and change in the digital age
  • digital technology and innovation management

You'll carry out:

  • strategic case studies
  • a Capstone project undertaken with your employer
