We'll give you the tools needed to navigate the complexities of the economic landscape with confidence. By the time you graduate, you will have developed the skills necessary to excel in your career.

You will acquire detailed knowledge of the most recent research in the disciplines of economics. You will also develop the skills needed to make your own contributions to research.

What you'll learn

Gain advanced skills in economic theory. You'll also learn quantitative methods in econometrics and mathematical economics.

You will learn the theory, analytical tools and data analysis methods. These will help find solutions to deal with a variety of real-world economic problems. You'll achieve an understanding of specialist software packages in high demand by employers.

Take on advanced topics of microeconomics and macroeconomics. This will maximise your expertise and help you develop soft skills essential for any sector.

Fees and funding

Tuition fees for 2024 entry (per year)

Tuition fee increases

If your studies last longer than one year, your tuition fee may increase in line with inflation.

EU, other EEA and Swiss nationals - tuition fee status

Depending on your residency history, if you’re a student from the EU, other EEA or a Swiss national, with settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme, you’ll normally pay the ‘Home’ tuition fee rate and may be eligible for Student Finance England support.

EU students without settled or pre-settled status will normally be charged fees at the ‘International’ rate and will not be eligible for Student Finance England support.
