Aims
The aim of this module is to provide students with an understanding of Sustainable Human Resource Management (HRM) principles and practices, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate sustainability into HRM strategies within organizations. By the end of this module, students should be able to critically analyse the role of HRM in fostering sustainability and contribute to sustainable HRM initiatives in various organizational contexts.

Teaching Rationale And Relationship
The module combines lectures with student-led workshops and drop-in surgeries. The lectures introduce students to key concepts, theoretical and policy frameworks, and debates. Student-led workshops are designed to provide students with structured tasks and readings which form the basis for extended debate and critique. This will also provide the opportunity for group discussion and activities. Drop-in surgeries provide opportunities for assessment guidance and feedback.

Formative Assessments
Formative Assessment is an assessment which develops your skills in being assessed, allows for you to receive feedback, and prepares you for being assessed. However, it does not count to your final mark.

The rationale for a written examination is to facilitate testing students’ knowledge of core sustainable HRM concepts, as well as their ability to critically analyse the role of HRM in fostering sustainability.
