Staff Profile
I work for Arrow with individuals, organisations, and businesses in the creative and cultural sectors, linking them with the expertise and resources here at the university. Through those links I undertake research projects with them in order to help them explore new ideas, reach new audiences and new markets, and develop their creative and industry practice.
My background is in the creative and cultural industries, primarily in music production. My PhD, Creativity in Electronic Music: Unravelling the Sociocultural Fabrics of Expression, was a cultural studies work which links theories of creativity with practices in the field, and expands upon those to examine the nature of creativity as part of the human experience.
I am currently working on my first book for Bloomsbury Academic entitled: Creativity in Electronic Music Production: Sociocultural Dynamics of Creative Cultures.
