Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU)

The Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) is the government body that administers the UK's system of export controls and licensing.  The ECJU provide the following training and advice to applicants:

• Workshops
• Online guidance on using SPIRE to get an export licence
• A template End User Undertaking Form 

Higher Education Export Controls Association (HEECA)

The Higher Education Export Controls Association (HEECA) is a national network run by and for the UK Higher Education sector to promote good practice.  Guidance and support is available through:

• Events - regular workshops and an annual conference
• Online training module - introductory level (registration required)
• Resources - practical information on key topics

US Export Controls

The US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) also provide online guidance on end-user monitoring requirements for research activities subject to US Export Control legislation.
