Flexible start exclusions and case-by-case requests
Unable to travel to Newcastle by 19 September?
We are committed to supporting new students travelling to Newcastle from outside of the UK who are unable to join us by 19 September due to:
- requirements to isolate
- flight availability
- delays in receiving their visa
Most of our courses will be flexible if you are delayed by up to four weeks in Semester 1.
You will need to complete a form requesting a flexible start where this is available, providing us with information about your delay and intended arrival date. If your flexible start request is approved, we will be in touch with details of the support we will put in place until you can join us in Newcastle.
Please note, there are some instances due to the type of teaching where requests for flexible arrival are not possible or have to be considered on a case-by-case basis. If your School is not listed below you will be eligible to be considered for flexible start.
Flexible start is not possible for:
- Business Accounting and Finance (UG level)
- Coaching and Mentoring (Master's level)
- Dental Sciences (all study levels)
- Executive Master of Business Administration (Master's level)
- Master of Business Administration (Master's level)
- Medical Education (UG level)
- Medical Education (MSc Physician Associate)
- Pharmacy (UG level)
- Psychology (Master's level)
- Strategic Leadership (Master's level)
Flexible start may be possible for programmes in the following Schools, but requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
