Dr Milad Keshvarifard

Lecturer in Operations Management

Background

Milad joined Newcastle University Business School in November 2019. Prior to joining Newcastle University, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at HEC Montreal, Canada, and received his Ph.D. in Operations Management and Decision Sciences from ESSEC Business School, France.  His main research interest lies in humanitarian operations, trying to answer the question of how to optimize the use of scarce resources in humanitarian organizations in order to achieve the highest welfare for beneficiaries. Milad's works have been presented in international conferences such as INFORMS, POMS, and EURO, and he has published in leading business academic journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (MSOM) and Productions and Operations Management (POM). He is also active in other fields of research such as revenue management, location problems, and social media analysis.
