UN Climate Change Conference 2022

COP 27 took place between 6 to 18 November 2022 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Watch our film about Newcastle University's social and environmental justice work.

Coordinated action to tackle climate change

The climate talks brought together:

heads of state
climate experts
young people
civil society
trade unions
faith groups
indigenous peoples

Over the two weeks, conference attendees worked to agree coordinated action to tackle climate change and protect the planet for future generations.
